Just curious to know why is there such a strong push by the e-commerce sites for users to install their apps instead shopping from the phone browsers? I can think of customer retention as one of the reasons. Are there any other advantages I am overlooking? Got a mail from myntra this morning about a 'huge' discount sale for today. When I went to check to see what's it all about, it prompts me to install it's app without giving me an option to skip it. I find it quite annoying actually. Hence this question.
