Organized by Rupee for Humanity Like how small drops make an ocean, we believe that every rupee can help in upheaval of the human race. Here we are, the "Rupee for Humanity (RFH)", an online NGO (registered with the Government), an initiative by a group of responsible Indian youngsters. With passion in heart and literacy in thoughts, we are back with RFH v2- RFH 10K Run 2015-Run for Literacy! RFH in a nutshell: Who are we? A non-profit organization intended to bring a positive change to the country by working towards development of the less-gifted part of the society What do we do? · Education for the meritorious and needy Kids. · Food and medical care for the poor and needy For more information about our NGO, please visit the below link https://www.facebook.com/RupeeForHumanity We strongly believe that literacy is an essential factor for the development of any nation. As a step towards improving the literacy rate in India, we organized a program called "Shikshakaar - Shiksha ke liye Adhikaar" to educate poor children. This program is a promise for the Kids who have high aspirations and a strong will to study. Shikshakaar provides free education for poor, needy and orphaned children from NGOs, Government schools etc., who are meritorious but are not able to fund their education due to pathetic financial background. Approximate statistics per Child in a normal Government-aided School: Monthly Fee – 1000/- Books and Stationary – 1500/- Uniform and shoes – 1500/- Cost for 1 year – 15,000/- Our aim is to educate at least 100 kids for this May 2015 and so the expected amount would be 100*15,000 = 15,00,000/- To make this promise a reality, we organised RFH 10K Run 2014, which got tremendous response from the public. A snapshot of RFH 10K Run 2014 is as follows: RFH 10K Run, a step towards eradicating illiteracy in India – the Shikshakaar program by Rupee For Humanity (RFH) ended on high note in April 27 2014. We were able to raise a fund of Rs. 1,86,705/- from the RFH 10K Run organized with the noble contribution from runners and sponsors like you. The funds raised was used to educate 18 children accounting to Rs. 2,02,265/- (RFH core team members stepped forward to sponsor the remaining cost). Please find the below link elucidating all the details of kids identified and sponsored by RFH for the academic year 2014-2015. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YESw_z74fLKXzaFBi5DmukkOsFeZ_NrjxcR5VmElJs4/edit A point worth mentioning is the effort spent towards identifying these meritorious kids who were not able to afford for their education. There were around 30 applications and the activities included performing a background check of the family status and the merit of the Kid. Team RFH heartily expresses its deep felt gratitude to all the volunteers who participated in the Shikshakaar program. One milestone crossed, but we have a long way to go ahead in our mission. Miles to go, goals to achieve. We solicit your continual support in our upcoming ventures as well. This year we would want it to make it bigger and better. We expect a turnout of 1000-1200 runners/donors to fuel this noble cause. This would be twice the mob that turned on our maiden attempt. Dear Kind hearts, We would be indebted if you come forward to sponsor this event. This event would reach around 20,00,000 people and the sponsors shall advertise their brand/company name through this program. Below are the details of approximate expenses required for organizing this event (may differ depending on the number of participants). Depending on the item sponsored, we would display the sponsors' brand/company name (as suggested by sponsor) in the item chosen. Request you to let us know your interest in sponsoring before 10th Jan 2015 and later we shall start publicizing the event. We believe in the fact that "Helping hands are better than praying lips" Experience the Joy of giving! For any Queries, please drop an email to rupee4humanity@gmail.com. We would be happy to share the cost split up details for the sponsorship. Regards, Naveen Kumar B S Vice President Rupee For Humanity by Naveen Kumar
