Hi guys, One of my friends wants to purchase a Dell laptop which is retailing for 50,490/- directly through Dell, but is available for 45,749/- on Flipkart. I called up Dell Sales India, and inquired about the same. They are saying that Dell would not honour warranty through any other sales channel, i.e. Flipkart, Amazon, etc., because those laptops are US models being sold in India. This sounds pretty strange to me as it would directly incriminate these e-retailers selling smuggled goods. In fact, it is clearly mentioned on Flipkart's website that 1 year warranty is included. Can someone throw some light on this issue? Probably, someone working with Dell India.
